Hi, I’m Jeff Yang, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist based in Upper Mount Gravatt, proudly registered with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA). I’m a university-qualified allied health professional who specialises in using evidence-based exercise interventions to prevent, treat, and manage a range of health conditions, from acute and chronic illnesses to disabilities and musculoskeletal injuries.
My journey into this profession was shaped by a lifelong passion for sports, health, and performance. From an early age, I found joy in helping friends and family improve their physical abilities by teaching them proper movement techniques and sharing the benefits of structured exercise. This love for movement, combined with a deep interest in how the body works, naturally led me to pursue a career as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, a role that allows me to help others improve their quality of life through tailored, functional movement.
My personal background is rooted in competitive sports, particularly football, track and field, and more recently, powerlifting. My athletic pursuits earned me a football scholarship to the United States, where I competed in college-level football and was honoured as an academic scholar for two consecutive years. A few years later, I discovered a new passion in powerlifting, which led me to compete in multiple national-level events, including two first-place finishes across different weight classes. This competitive drive continues to fuel my dedication to personal growth and professional development and it’s something I bring into every client session.
I have a special interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, particularly in helping individuals recover from injuries, surgeries, and long-term physical conditions. Whether it’s lower back pain, soft tissue injuries, or post-operative rehab, I’m here to guide you through a tailored plan designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in your body.
